سمي المسرح نسبة لمؤلف وممثل بريطاني اكتسب شهرة كبيرة في القرن العشرين يدعى ايفور نوفيلو حيث كان يقطن في شقة فوق المسرح.

First opened in 1905, the 1,105 seats capacity Novello Theatre is currently showing the musical “Mamma Mia”.
The theatre is named after Ivor Novello, a very famous 20th century British composer and actor who used to live in a flat above the theatre.
