أضحى قصر باكينغام المقر الرئيسي لمكان إقامة وعمل العائلة المالكة البريطانية منذ منتصف القرن الثامن عشر ميلادي وحتى يومنا هذا.
كانت الملكة فيكتوريا أول عضو في العائلة المالكة تسكن في هذا القصر، وكان ذلك في عام 1837.

Buckingham Palace has been both the office and main residence of the British Monarch since the middle of the 18th century and up to the present day.
The first Monarch to live in this palace was Queen Victoria in 1837.
Parts of the palace, which consists of 775 rooms in total, are open for visitors at certain times.
