يعود تاريخ إنشاء هذه الحديقة العلمية إلى النصف الثاني من القرن السابع عشر ميلادي وتعتبر من أقدم وأهم الحدائق من نوعها.
تمتد هذه الحديقة والتي تحتوي على أصناف متعددة من نباتات طبية وعلمية فريدة من نوعها على مساحة هكتارين وهي ملاصقة لنهر التيمز في منطقة شيلسي.

Dating back to the second half of the 17th century, this botanic garden is one of the oldest and most important of its kind in the world.
The four acres garden, which boasts a range of medicinal and other rare plants, is tucked away nicely on the Chelsea side of the River Thames.
